| Religious Education at St. Joseph on the Brandywine:: Classes for children Pre-School through 10th grade are held on Sunday mornings. All students must be registered through the Religious Education Office, which is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Catholic school students are required to receive the sacraments in the parish where the family is registered. Students and their parents are expected to attend all sacramental preparation sessions. These students are also welcome to attend any general group meetings. If you have a child attending a Catholic school who is eligible to receive Reconciliation, First Eucharist or Confirmation, please call the Religious Education Office for information at (302) 656-7185. All catechists are volunteers from the parish community who are willing to share their faith with the young. Each catechist prepares a weekly lesson plan, participates in scheduled meetings with the Director of Religious Education and attends periodic workshops when possible. Catechists depend on the parish for support, prayer, and cooperation. |
