Cemetery Veteran's Flags

The SJOTB Knights of Columbus are partnering again this year with Hockessin Cub Scout Pack 959 to plant U.S. stick flags on all our Veteran's graves in our three cemeteries prior to Memorial Day.   The date for the flag planting is Saturday, May 13 from 9-11 a.m.  The flags will remain until Flag Day.   If a flag has not been placed on the grave of a loved one, please call 302-658-7017 or email [email protected].

The Cemetery clears all decorations five times a year - within a reasonable time after these five days - Christmas, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and Father's Day.  In addition, the removal of veterans' flags will begin after Flag Day, June 14th.  Families are responsible and encouraged to remove items they wish to keep in advance of any clean-up.  Cemetery Management reserves the right to change and alter rules whenever it deems necessary and is not responsible for items removed, lost, or stolen.
