Important Updates when Receiving Communion

Gluten Free Hosts

For those communicants who require gluten-free (GF) hosts, please let the celebrant, usually our pastor, Monsignor Hopkins, (or visiting priest) know that you will be in his communion line, at the end of the line. An usher may be available to help you.

Receiving the Host on the tongue

For those communicants who receive the Body of Christ on the tongue, please receive the Host from the celebrant, Monsignor Hopkins in most instances, by using his communion
line to receive; especially in our current Covid state, please position yourself at the end of the celebrant's Communion line, to receive the Host.

If you cannot come to the Altar for Communion

If you come to mass and cannot come to the altar in the Communion line we suggest:

• if you are attending mass alone, let an usher know or if you know a Eucharistic Minister,
  tell them that you need the celebrant or a Eucharistic Minister to come to your pew at the
  end of Communion.
• if you have a companion or family member who will receive Communion at the altar,
  they can inform Monsignor Hopkins/or visiting priest or the Eucharistic Minister as they
  receive the Host. Either one will be happy to bring the Host to your pew.
