The Church of Wilmington joyfully announces the Ordination of Dennis Stameza into the Sacred Order of the Priesthood by the Most Reverend William E Koenig, D.D. on Saturday, May 17 at 11am from the Cathedral of St Peter in Wilmington.  The Ordination Mass will be live-streamed by the Diocese. Three church choirs from the Brandywine Hundred Deanery will join to present an afternoon of beautiful church music on Sunday, March 30, from 3:00-4:00, at St. Helena’s Church. The host choir, St. Helena’s, will welcome choirs from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Church of the Holy Child. Each choir will present a set of three of its favorite songs. There will also be multiple opportunities for audience participation with choir support. March 30 is Laetare Sunday, the day when Rose vestments and altar flowers help anticipate the coming Easter Season. Music is one of the traditional ways to mark the day. We hope this musical event will give all audience members an enjoyable occasion to mark Laetare Sunday and to enjoy music presented by our wonderful Deanery parish choirs. There is no charge. St. Helena’s is located at 602 Philadelphia Pike (Bellefonte).

Prepare your heart for Easter! Reconciliation Monday will be held on April 14 across the Diocese of Wilmington, including here at St Joseph on the Brandywine. Confessions will be heard from 3pm-7pm.
