A warm welcome to St. Joseph on the Brandywine Religious Education!
We believe that "the Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith" (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1666), and parents play an essential role in faith formation. We help you in this important task with parent enrichment through a weekly newsletter and family activity suggestions.
We fully participate in the Diocese of Wilmington Safe Environments program, For the Sake of God's Children and are committed to the safety of the children you entrust to our care.
Religious Education for 2022-2023 will take place in person. Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, our catechetical series, has as its goal faith formation for the whole family. The focus of this series is the Sunday Gospel: listening to God's Word, learning to apply it to life in the real world, and learning Catholic doctrine which springs from that Gospel and the other Sunday readings.

Preparation for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and Eucharist and Confirmation will of course be taking place as well. Specifics about Reconciliation and Eucharist sacramental preparation will be communicated directly to parents of second graders (as well as any older students preparing for those sacraments). Specifics about preparation for Confirmation will be communicated directly to the parents of our ninth graders.
Please return the registration packet which was sent to you by the Religious Ed office. If you did not receive a packet and would like one mailed to you, please call the Religious Ed Office: 302-658-7017, ext 4.
Note: We will not have online registration this year. Both new and returning families must complete and return the registration packet.
We are looking forward to an exciting year!
